Tim Richards
DIRECTOR & Consultant
BRurSc, GradCertRurSc(CP)
After earning a Bachelor of Rural Science from The University of New England in 1997, Tim pursued further education and obtained a postgraduate certificate in Cotton Production.
Tim has extensive experience in managing large-scale irrigation and dryland operations, including agronomy advice, staff management, financial oversight, budgeting, and equipment management. The whole farm management approach provided by MCA inspired Tim to join the company in 2010.
With 27 years of expertise in growing irrigated and dryland cotton, Tim's achievements have been widely recognised. Accompanied by several of his clients having received awards at the Darling Downs and McIntyre Valley Cotton Growers Awards, Tim was also named the Darling Downs Cotton Growers Association Agronomist of the Year in 2014, 2016, 2019, and 2023. Tim has been a member of Crop Consultants Australia (CCA) since 2001, served on its board from 2013 to 2018, and has recently been appointed as the CCA president.
Outside of his professional commitments, Tim enjoys spending time with his family and is an active participant in endurance sports, including running, cycling, and triathlons. His passion for these activities has led him to become the race director of the Hell of the West Triathlon, a major community-run event held in Goondiwindi.
